Masterwork of master builder Richard Thomas, elegant Norwood dominates the intersection of Dr. Bird and Norwood Roads. Thomas built the left side in 1751, and Joseph T. Moore added the right in 1867. A fireplace brick bears the initials R and S, believed to be those of Thomas and wife Sarah. The house was owned by the Bancrofts in mid-century and today is the home of Tom and Cynthia Schneider.
