Countryside Artisans Studio Tours & Grand Opening of Artist Barn

Tour artist studios, including those located at the Sandy Spring Museum, as part of a three-day open studio tour hosted by Countryside Artisans of Maryland. Meet the resident artists at the museum who work in fiber, clay, acrylic, enamel, and silver.
A special ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 am to mark the grand opening of the Artist Barn, the museum’s newly renovated 19th century barn with three new studios. Refreshments will be served. RSVP here.
The Countryside Artisans of Maryland represents a selected group of accomplished visual, sculptural, and textile artists working in oil, pastel, watercolor, pencil, ceramics, porcelain, glass, enamel, stone, wood, yarn, textiles, photography, tea, hops, and grapes. The Countryside Artisans jointly open their galleries and studios located in historic, rural Montgomery, Howard, and Frederick Counties in Maryland for 3 art tours each year in April, October, and December, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm each day.
Spend a day in the country, enjoy scenic drives between studios, stop for artisan beverages, and meet artists in the beautiful settings that inspire their work every day. Come home with a renewed sense of well-being and a wonderful piece of local, original art!
