HAUNTED HOUSES: CLIFTON
Clifton

Clifton: The Thomas family built Clifton at Ednor and lived there for seven generations. For most of those years the ghost of aunt Betsy, an old slave, was there with them, slamming doors, snuffing out candles, and moaning in the cellar inhabited by blacksnakes. A recent resident, however, found comfort in Old Betsy, regarding her as "happy and good" and gaining from her a sense of companionship on lonely nights.
