Community Programs

Sandy Spring Museum is a community history museum, and we take both parts of our identity seriously.  In every activity, the Museum works to share the history we hold in ways that will inspire and enrich individual visitors and the whole community.

Our community programs, the historic house tour, Appraisal Day, and others, bring resources of historical knowledge to bear on the way people live their lives.  Whether you gain a better understanding of an heirloom you own, or the sense of place that comes from knowing the landscape around you, Community Programs at the Museum will help you claim a place for yourself in the community’s past, present, and future.
