CULTURAL PROGRAMS
The Museum invites everyone, newcomers to the area as well as long-time residents, to claim a place for themselves in the Sandy Spring community’s legacy of innovation, leadership, tolerance, and civic connection. Our cultural programs are designed to make this invitation in many ways.
The Museum lecture series brings in scholars from around the country, who shed light on how local stories connect to larger regional, national, and international currents. Take a class here and learn the time-honored crafts that made, and still make, rural life possible.
If your passion is for art, come and bask in the strength of local artistic productions. If you love music, hear top-ranked performers in the Museum’s intimate, acoustically splendid concert space, and meet them to talk about their music.
