NATIONAL HISTORY DAY

The Museum started in 2009 supporting Sherwood High School students who wanted to compete in National History Day. The collaboration made Sherwood one of only 20 Montgomery County schools involved in this prestigious national “research derby.”  One of the participants won the Civil War Roundtable award for her research on Brookeville’s Allen Bowie Davis, owner of Greenwood plantation owner and Maryland state senator.
