How the 2010 Sandy Spring Museum Membership Campaign works …

For the 2010 membership campaign, we are asking each current member to recruit one new member, as we plan to double our membership by the end of the year.  There are three levels of membership:

$40 for Individuals
$65 for Families
$125 for Investors

All levels qualify for the campaign prizes below.  All members receive our quarterly newsletter, the Legacy, to stay up to date on Museum activities and learn about the remarkable communities around us.  Members also receive information about all Museum activities, invitations to special events, and a 10% discount on purchases in the Museum Shop.  The Investors membership is a special category for people looking to do a little extra for the Museum.  In addition to the other benefits, Investors will receive a free subscription to American Heritage magazine with their Museum membership.

There are also special CAMPAIGN PRIZES for new members and those who bring them in –
Each new member (and that member’s host) receives …

• one coupon for 30% off on the American-made crafts and artisan goods at our exceptional Museum Shop, AND

• one free ticket to an extraordinary Masters in Music concert AND

• one chance in our Membership Campaign prize drawing for a $100 gift certificate at The Brookeville Inn.  That’ll cover a sumptuous lunch for four or dinner for two.

No chances will be sold for the Membership Campaign drawing – the only way to enter is to be, or bring in, a new member.

Anyone who brings in FIVE new members,

• receives 3 extra chances in the drawing AND an Entertainment Coupon book worth $25 and filled with special discounts on local and regional shops, restaurants, services and activities.

For TEN new members,

• we’ll give you 5 extra chances in the drawing, plus the Entertainment Coupon book described above.

And here are even more new reasons to join this year!  In April, new members and their hosts will be celebrated and thanked with a splendid free afternoon concert featuring East West 8, right here at the Museum.  And this September, the Museum is offering its members a members-only history tour of Maryland’s Civil War, ending at the Maryland state wine festival in Winchester.  Explore the eventful and poignant stories of Maryland with your history-loving neighbors and an expert guide to Civil War history.  Space in limited on the tour, and only Museum members may subscribe for it.

So now’s the moment.  Your Museum serves your community.  Your legacy is shaping your future.  Come and claim your place in this exciting project.
