Publications
Sandy Spring Museum publishes a quarterly newsletter, called The Legacy, current and back issues of which are available here online. We also publishe The Annals of Sandy Spring, an indexed, six-volume “community diary.” As a compendium of almost 100 years of household life, farm life, and impressions of larger changes through the lens of the local community, The Annals is an uniquely eloquent resource for social historians studying the late 19th and twentieth centuries. We also publish occasional titles in local history, including Sandy Spring Legacy (a photo history of the community) and The Villages of Sandy Spring, a collection of personal recollections of the community from 1900 to about 1970.
