Thank you to the following in-kind community sponsors who helped make the 2016 Strawberry Festival the most fun and delicious one yet:

Thank you to Sandy Spring Bank for providing the staff to serve the “world’s best strawberry shortcake” and chocolate-dipped strawberries, providing an on-site ATM for our guests, and for being fiscally responsible for the proceeds of the event!

Thank you to the young men from Our House for providing much needed help in the days leading up to the Festival in a variety of ways, including some heavy lifting to get the grounds ready!

Thank you to the cleaning crew from Office Care for donating their services for the day and keeping the interior bathrooms clean and stocked for our guests.

Thank you to Reddemeade Equestrian Center for providing the gorgeous ponies and coordinating the pony rides once again this year! It is an activity the kids look forward to year after year!

Thank you to James Hubert Blake High School National Honors Society for collecting all of the trash and recycling to keep the Museum grounds clean!

Thank you to Kang’s Black Belt Academy for your demonstration on the Main Stage and for bringing such fun and active games to the Festival again this year!

We typically have straw-bales for guests to sit on, but with so much rain this year straw-bales were scarce. Thank you to Heyser Farms for donating crates to use for seating the day of the Festival!

Our volunteers work hard so we need to keep them fed! Thank you to Roots Market in Olney, J&P Pizza in Damascus, Chick-fil-A (coming soon to Olney), Dunkin Donuts in Olney, and Olney Bagel Bakery for donating food and drinks to keep our volunteers going strong!

The Rock Climbing Wall was brought to us by James E. Lehman, Jr., Commissioner of the White Oak District of the Boy Scouts of America and long-time Sandy Spring Museum member! It required many hours of preparation and planning and many Scouts to assist. Thank you for bringing such a popular activity and making this year’s event great for all ages!

To Martha O’Hanlon & Kathy Lyons from the 4-H Petting Zoo – Thank you for bringing the furry friends for little ones to pet in the petting zoo!

To Maryland Lehmann, long-time Sandy Spring Museum member – Thank you for getting lots of whipped cream and other yummy supplies for the strawberry shortcake!
