Benefit Concert for Ukraine, featuring Gerdan
Friday, March 25, 2022 at 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Join us (in person or on YouTube) for an evening of music and dance to support relief efforts in the wake of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. The fundraiser will feature Gerdan, a Ukrainian band living in the DMV, comprised of Solomia Gorokhivska on violin/vocals, Andrei Pidkivka on flutes, and Kalin Kirilov on accordion, with world-renowned dancer Roman Mykyta and friends.
This program is presented in collaboration with Carpe Diem Arts, whose mission is to “inspire creative self-expression that empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and builds better futures, while also supporting the livelihoods of master teaching and performing artists.”
Funds raised during this program will benefit United Help Ukraine—a Gaithersburg-based organization that works with Ukrainian NGOs to meet the immediate needs of Ukrainian children and families.
COVID Precautions: All attendees must present proof of vaccination at the program’s start. Attendees must wear facial coverings at all times, unless they are performing.
