Community Café: The Price of Happiness

The Community Café is a grassroots discussion circle focused on topics in American life and the role of the United States in the global community. Participants will read a thought-provoking short story, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas, by Ursula K. LeGuin. This work of fiction questions how far we are willing to go as a society to live the Utopian dream. Participants read the story ahead of time and arrive prepared to participate in a lively discussion.
Community Cafes are led by Dr. Francine Jamin. Brown bag lunches are welcome. Advanced registration is required and the discussion is limited to 15 people.
