Folklife Networking and Information Reception

October 10 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

This event is open to folk artists working in Montgomery County.

As the recently designated folklife hub of Montgomery County, Sandy Spring Museum is collaborating with Maryland Traditions to expand folk arts programming and support. We are reaching out to traditional artists and heritage communities to learn what support you need to reach goals.  Join us for refreshments, conversation, and ideas for collaboration.

Meet Montgomery County-based independent folk artists, folklife groups, and folklorists. Learn about partnership opportunities with Sandy Spring Museum, with offerings such as performance, workshop, and exhibit space, help with marketing, grant writing, and more. Albita Rivera from Cultura Plenera will be on hand to talk about their ongoing partnership with Sandy Spring Museum.
