Bring your instrument and join a bluegrass jam on the museum grounds, held the fourth Sunday of every month.  Whether you are new to jamming or a seasoned musician, you will enjoy the camaraderie that arises from making music as a group as favorite songs are shared.  All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Jams are hosted by Mary Burdette of Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, John Hartge & Bruce Evans of the Fire Hazards, and Ben Kepler, seasoned bluegrass musician and music teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools.

COVID-19 Guidelines:
Twenty-five chairs will be pre-arranged in the museum’s courtyard, spaced six to seven feet apart.  Musicians should arrive masked and take a seat with instruments (cases placed next to seats).  All participants must wear masks and maintain distancing throughout the jam session. Chairs should not be moved from their designated spots without first checking with one of the Jam leaders. Distancing and masks must be maintained if the group goes into breakout sessions.  Safety precautions apply to both vaccinated and non-vaccinated participants.

This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
