Local 19th Century Medical Practices

Woodlawn Manor’s resident physician, Dr. William Palmer, employed a combination of “heroic” European medical practices, African healing methods that he learned from slaves, and herbal remedies.  Historian Jamie Kuhns and Woodlawn program manager Mark Thorne will be the guest speakers.  Our spring membership meeting, as always, involves pie.  Please consider bringing a pie to share!
