Reliquary for St. Valentine’s Day

Inspired by medieval reliquaries, create a fanciful “shrine” of your own. A reliquary is traditionally a container for relics of a saint, but we will fill ours with photos, trinkets, shells, buttons, or any small objects that hold a special memory. Using a cigar box as a base, artist Suzanne Herbert-Forton will teach how to build a work of art with embellishments from a variety of found and recycled materials. Make a reliquary for yourself or make one as a Valentine’s day gift! $5 material fee due to instructor.
