Sabados de Saoco Afro-Puerto Rican Dance Workshop – Cancelled

Tap into one of the oldest dance and music practices of the Caribbean with Sabados de Saoco! Join Cultura Plenera for a  series of Afro-Puerto Rican bomba workshops. These fun, high energy dance classes are sure to get your blood flowing and body moving. Enjoy high and low impact movement as you dance along to the infectious rhythm of live drummers. Julia Gutierrez-Rivera, one of today’s most noted dancers, leads this  90-minute course.

*Please wear comfortable, loose clothing (i.e. dance wear or dance skirts) and comfortable shoes (no boots).  If you don’t wear a traditional skirt, we will have ones for you to borrow.
