Simple Science: Cells, Art and Virtual Reality for Kids

Have you ever wondered what you are made of? The simple answer is cells, the smallest building blocks of life, including you! With the power of virtual reality and art, young scientist and their grownups will explore the secret world of human cells. Led by Lucky Clovers 4-H Club, you will learn some introductory facts and explore cells through virtual reality. Then using your creativity and imagination, you will create your vision of cells through painting or drawing.
Participants will take away a worksheet about cells and their final creative project. The first 20 families to register will also take home their own Google cardboard virtual reality headsets along with an information sheet on usage and recommended apps.
The WONDEROOM is a dedicated space filled with experimental, hands-on, family-friendly activities that inspire creativity through design-based problem-solving challenges. WondeRoom activities are designed for intergenerational collaboration. Children and their accompanying grown-up work together.
Please note: This program requires the use of a smart phone and the willingness to download apps. Additional information will be shared upon registration.
