The Spring Open Mic

Join us every Tuesday for the best open mic in Montgomery County. Hosted by rob Hinkal and Rowan Corbett, and in collaboration with the Institute of Musical Traditions, the Spring Open Mic welcomes all performers – beginners, pros, and everywhere in-between – as well as listeners, to the open air courtyard at Sandy Spring Museum.  A featured artist will perform each week and the open mic will be livestreamed on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch (but performers must perform in-person!)

Tonight’s featured artist is MLEMON! “MLEMON is a Northern VA-based duo that creates genre-defying music using every instrument, influence, and auditory philosophy that they can get their callused hands on. They just released Inosculation, their fifth studio album in less than two years, and they love you very much.”

A suggested donation of $10, which will help sustain the event, can be paid through the registration link or in-person at the program.

Pre-registration is required to perform and requested of all attendees. In an abundance of caution, only the first twenty-five registrants will be allowed to attend. To enter, you will be asked to show either a COVID-19 vaccine card or proof of a negative PCR test within 48-hours of The Spring Open Mic.
