The Spring Open Mic

Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 7:00 pm 9:30 pm

Drop in on any Tuesday night to enjoy live music at The Spring.  Hosted by rob Hinkal of ilyAIMY and rob’s Open Mics, and in collaboration with the Institute of Musical Traditions, the Spring Open Mic welcomes all performers – beginners, pros, and everywhere in-between – as well as listeners, to perform at the Sandy Spring Museum.  The Spring is livestreamed on YouTube, Facebook and Twitch (performers must be at the museum in person).

This evening’s featured performer is Tal Naccarato!

“…..Tal is a one-man revue of a dozen of the great blues guitar masters,…..”, (Mike Livingston, Program Chair, ‘Folk Society of Greater Washington’ (FSGW)

“…Tal Naccarato plays old style ragtime and blues guitar after the fashion of such greats as Happy Traum and Dave Van Ronk. He delivers the classics of the folks like Reverend Gary Davis and Jorma Kaukonen, (and) …his own compositions in the same genre.” Mike Aggrarov, Troubadour Chairperson / The Folk Project

The event is free, but a suggested donation of $10, which helps sustain the event, can be paid through the registration link or in-person at the program. We also encourage you to donate to our featured artist and / or purchase their music if you’re able.
