Valdemar and Villads on Violins

Villads and Valdemar, 15 and 18 years old, are two danish brothers, who love to play the violin and entertain their audience.  Their repertoire includes everything from classical violin concertos to popular music pieces, from old to modern compositions.

Their training as violinists began at the music school in Sävsjö in Sweden, when they were 6 and 8 years old.  In 2011 and 2012 the brothers got admitted into the “Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach gymnasium”, an elite music school below the two conservatories in Berlin.

They have always loved to perform, and since they were 7 and 10 they have played classical concerts in churches and also played duets on the streets, in Denmark, Germany and Sweden.  They both participated in masterclasses and won 1st prices, 2nd prices and final seats in national and international music competitions in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Hungary.

Valdemar won the gold medal in “Berlingske Tidendes” classic competition 2015 and 2nd prize in the “Jugend musiziert Landeswettbewerb” in 2016.  Villads appeared in a danish television programm called “Vidunderbørn”(Wonderkids) on DR1 in the fall of 2015 and won a 2nd place.   In May 2016, Villads got 2. prize in “Jugend musiziert Bundeswettbewerb”, the largest national german competition for young people.  Both Valdemar and Villads got 1. Prices in the “Jacob Gade” violin competition in Vejle, Denmark, in 2016.
