Did you know that Betsy Ross created the 5 pointed stars on the flag with a clever fold and just one snip of her scissors?
Learn how to perform this bit of fabric magic yourself in this hands-on online workshop with master quilter Lauren Kingsland. Cut and sew the stars into a pieced wall quilt. This project is inspired by Ms. Kingsland’s 2020 quilt Why I Vote, which includes hand-written messages and is featured in the exhibit Quilts and the Stories They Tell. Participants will learn ways to write on fabric on their own piece.
