Weekly Mindfulness Meditation
Explore the benefits of mindfulness by learning how to meditate. Mindfulness can promote a healthier mind and body, reduce stress, foster compassion, and increase our memory skills. Together we will focus on many different aspects of meditation, including the practice of “letting go.” By practicing “Letting Go,” we train our mind to give up past experiences, especially thoughts causing stress and anxiety. One of the highest benefits one can expect from practicing “Letting go” is training the mind to fix internal conflicts independently in order to enjoy a life where we are more present in the moment
Master practitioners from the Buddha Meditation Center of Greater Washington DC will lead each session. This weekly program is open to all interested people – those who are experienced in meditation or those who want to learn. Everyone will proceed at their own speed.
Please note that everyone will be seated on chairs or on the floor on cushions. If you would like, please bring your own cushion.
