The WONDEROOM is a dedicated space filled with experiential, hands-on, family-friendly activities that inspire creativity through design based problem solving challenges. Designed for children ages 5-11 accompanied by an adult.

September’s activity is pojabi (Korean quilting) Inspired by the work of Korean fiber artist In Sook Park (whose work will be on exhibit in September), participants will stitch miniature pieces of pojabi. This activity will be offered in a simplified version for younger participants and offer a more traditional approach for older attendees. Design and create your own textile in the style of traditional Korean quilting, which was used for wrapping important things – like gifts, food and books.

This is an intergenerational activity that requires children and their grown-ups to work together!  We prefer that younger participants come from noon – 2 pm and older children from 2 – 4 pm, but all are welcome!
